Tomas Castillo Bukakis is a paralegal at Freeburg & Granieri, APC. Tomas earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Global Business from the University of Southern California in 2023. He also holds an ABA-approved paralegal certificate from College of the Canyons and completed business contracts coursework at UCLA. His academic background has given him valuable insight into global systems and legal frameworks. Prior to joining Freeburg & Granieri, Tomas worked as a paralegal assistant to vice presidents of legal affairs at HBO and as a business communications assistant at NBCUniversal. He has experience across multiple sectors, including finance, politics, and entertainment law. Tomas is passionate about immigration advocacy and volunteers with the International Rescue Committee, where he provides paralegal and translation services to support asylees and undocumented migrants in navigating the legal system. He is currently preparing to apply to law school and pursue his goal of becoming an attorney. In his free time, Tomas enjoys swimming, kickball, and wrestling, as well as spending time with his cats. He also loves movies, learning languages, cooking, reading, and playing chess and card games.
